Handbags in 2025 stand out for their versatility and timeless elegance. Finally, and perhaps for the first time in many years, we’re moving away from gaudy ostentation in favor of authentic luxury—luxury made of quality materials, craftsmanship rooted in a centuries-old tradition like that of Made in Italy, and a modern yet very quiet luxury aesthetic.
After years of passion for accessories, I had an incredible opportunity: to create, alongside an expert handbag designer, the Cristina Bag—my first bag in collaboration with Teddy Blake, a brand that combines New York design with Italian artisanal quality.
In this article, I want to share the behind-the-scenes story of this exciting project..
The beginning of a dream
It all started at the end of last summer when I was contacted by Teddy Blake. I already knew the brand, having collaborated with them in the past and appreciating their quality. When they proposed that I design a bag for them, I couldn’t believe it! I had a blank canvas to create a design that reflected my style and the needs of every modern woman.
The Creative Process
I started by studying Teddy Blake’s collections, and I was struck by a small belt bag with an appealing design. I decided to transform it into a more versatile handbag, keeping clean lines and a refined aesthetic.
The project took months of work, with sketches, constant feedback, and visits to the manufacturing company near Milan. There, I discovered the craftsmanship behind every bag and had the chance to personally select the materials and colors.
The Cristina Bag: A Versatile Accessory
After months of design work, the Cristina Bag was born, available in five colors. It’s a medium-small sized bag, yet ultra-spacious, with a simple and functional interior structure. I wanted to add a double strap: one adjustable leather strap and a gold one for a touch of shine. This makes it perfect for every occasion, from a day at the office to an elegant evening out.
